So tonight I went out, not particularly to game, well, at least I wasn't zoned for it. there was a party at one of the local bars so I hit it up since I was in town. however the demographic was all 18/19 year olds. I'm 27 and I just wasn't able to approach (felt too old?), I've been reading on group theory as everyone was in their own little cliques, but I went blank when I tried. Man I feel ashamed.

This was only one of the first times I've attempted gaming, and was also sober. One of the good things I can take away from it is I initiated a little bit of kino with some of the people I talked to, and made sure to use a lot of eye contact and smile from across the way, I received a couple IOI's from this but didn't act on all. I danced a lot, got a lot of attention doing that as all the other guys were wallflowers so that was pretty cool.

Am I moving too fast and need to solidify myself with some basic goals, say, initiate conversations x amount of times and shit before I escalate and potentially bite off more than I can chew, or should I just dive in and see how it turns out, I sometimes have AA but not always, mostly during the day, and I've got a "dont' give a fuck" attitude to rejection so any pointers would be appreciated for a newbie. I let myself down tonight, ended up leaving the joint early. Oh and FYI I was solo.

I dunno if it's worth to note that I live in quite a rural/remote area too.
