conspicuously eyeing me, dancing right next to me when there was no other reason to, standing so close to me that their butts were literally on my hip even though there was lots of space for them to move away, etc.

One small move I've used with success in those situations is to hold out your hand, and if they take it just do a little spin to get them dancing with you. Pretty easy from there.

op there's not a lot to it. take a drink. get comfortable. bump into them, then say hi. don't bother with that number bullshit, girls go to a club to get laid not get numbers for another day

Personally, I'd take her by the hand and lead her to some place quieter. Then banter a bit, get her number, and probably introduce myself at some point. If she wanted to get more physical, I would, but I'm in no rush and it's certainly not a prerequisite to having a good time.

I really like to get close to a girl when I'm in a club, so I get eye contact and won't break it while I'm heading towards her. Because it's a club the music is loud, so I put my arm around her back and lean in to tell her that she looks really cute/beautiful/gorgeous/etc and I had to meet her. After that it's a good moment to ask for her name and just make her feel more comfortable, later grab her hand say where you're going (somewhere more quiet ofcourse) and then ask for her number.

What I usually do: approach at a slight angle, grab their hand, spin them. Dance with them face to face for a bit, if she starts grinding follow through, if not keep dancing face to face while holding hands, after a decent amount of time, take her to a quieter place (bar, off dance floor), converse, escalate kino, and see what can happen.

This method usually only works with smaller groups or individuals. It is possible with the big groups of girls (4+) but a little trickier as space is more limited, so I would suggest moving her somewhere quiet quicker. Don't try to freak them right away, you will be looked at like a fucking weirdo. Also, try not to ask them, just grab their hand and if it happens it happens, if not move on. When approaching make sure you have good posture and you're smiling while dancing.
