This is for all you visual learners like myself. A weakness of mine has always been that I'm easily distracted. However, I've made up for it by visualizing EVERYTHING.
When I complain about having to study I visualize myself graduating, getting an MBA, making more money to travel/have new experiences etc.
I couple months ago I had severe two-itis. One girl from my co-ed fraternity and another Russian girl in my Business Law class. Not as bad/depressing as one-itis, but had to be eradicated, nonetheless.
What I literally did was VISUALIZE them lined up in a row with all my other female friends/acquaintances like so many cattle. Then, I visualized the pedestal(s) lowering to ground level. Part two is to start imagining all your male friends/acquaintances standing next to them. All as equals, all simply just people.
You can use whatever version you like, you can imagine you tossing/pushing them off the pedestal yourself. Or you can use one of my favorites, blowing up the pedestal with that ACME dynamite push-down thing the Wily Coyote always tries to clip the Road Runner with.
It may work overnight, or if your like me it could take a week or two to completely rid yourself of the infatuation. I had to visualize it multiple times, over and over. I will say, it helped my mental strength/control immensely to meditate twice a day even if it's 3-5 minutes. Also, I have a ridiculously good therapist I see once a week.
The last step, to seal the deal, obviously, is to visualize your former flame/one-itis taking a massive dump.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
