I have been to Lollapalooza in Chicago 5 times. One thing I've learned is that you are going for the music and to have an amazing time. This is what I do

Plan my schedule of who I MUST see, and when.
Show up a few hours early to the must see events, the vibe at the front of the crowd is much more electric than at the back, creating instant bonds between everyone a part of it.
During the shows, dance, sing, grab women and twirl them around, jump around, etc
Establish a "group" for every show you go to
Ask the women you meet during the shows you watch what their schedule is, who are they excited for, and if that band plays during the shows that you're not booked with your own stuff, go with them to their show

^ This is a great way to build the interaction. You go from the fun guy at the show, to a part of her vacation experience.

Here's the thing, people love hooking up on vacation. They don't have work, they're in a different city, state, country. There is a disconnect from the guy they hook up with at the festival and their real life.

Meet as many people as you can on day 1 of the festival. Here's an example of one of my experiences at Lolla.

Me and a buddy show up early on Friday to go see a show of a small band we like. We saw some cool chicks at the show and danced and sang with them for the show. After the show we ask them who they're interested in seeing, as we had a few hours until our next must see. They said that they weren't interested in anyone else until later. Since we both had time until our next must see shows, I suggested that we go grab some food since we're both waiting for the next shows. They agreed. We went for lunch, got their contact info and parted ways.

This is one of many sets of women we talked to over the course of the weekend. We ended up meeting up with them the night of Day 2 for drinks.

The important part to remember is that music festivals are all about the experience. Meet a lot of women, and when you find one that you want to share your experience of "Music Festival 2013" with, do just that. Suggest grabbing food, or check out a band they like if you don't have any must-sees, etc.

You'll both be in a strange city, and not know anyone other than who you came with. Suggest to explore the city together, check out the land marks together. Become her "Music Festival 2013" "boyfriend".

The latter of this post is only when you find a girl that you're genuinely interested in and is worth you putting in this effort. I'm not suggesting doing all this stuff with every girl you interact with.

Summer music festivals have an insane concentration of hot girls that are down to have fun. I just came back from Coachella it was out of this world.

My advice: open a TON of sets, using whatever method you like best. You will have success just by opening and having even the tiniest bit of game.

Any technique will work (girls are girls everywhere) but I think daygame.com stuff, or the simple pick up are the most efficient during the day at a music festival. At night it's basically regular night game (This video is good primer) I think the easiest mistake to make is not approaching enough sets (THERE ARE SO MANY AMAZING SETS). Also people like to be approached at music festivals (guys and girls), so you'll find many sets naturally hook.

I also got opened by at least 10 pretty girls (HB7+) during Coachella. I NEVER get opened by girls in bars or night clubs.

I've pulled it off at smaller festivals, with one girl in particular turning into a bit of a recurring flame in my life. I went to Bonnaroo in '08 but I was in the throes of puberty, with no self-confidence, a virgin. However, simply thinking about it objectively, there are a ton things factoring in to your advantage here.

1) There's like 50,000 chicks there. That's more opportunities than even a socially-retarded 400 lb neckbeard could screw up.

2) They're almost all drunk/high.

3) Even if you fail miserably and publicly at getting a girl's interest, the crowd is so huge that you have a really improbable chance of ever meeting anyone who noticed your failure. Ergo: No actual social ramifications from embarrassing yourself.

If there is a campground near it where people are camping, do that. It's fucking awesome - the party just continues at the campsite and everybody is friends there!

If there are chicks that are walking around topless or in super absolutely slutty cosplay, I wouldn't bother. They are in a different mode - they've been getting hit on all day by losers and believe that they are 11's because of all of the attention. Bitch shield is on full power. They aren't there to hook up, they are there to soak up attention. They aren't going to go hang out with you one on one, most likely.

Enjoy the show. Let it fill your soul, and get you into that rare mood that you can only get at outdoor music festivals. Remember that everyone is your friend at these things. The experience is really more important and will be a better memory than any girl you fuck there - however, picking up some cool chicks will just make it all the more fun.

As usual, having wingmen who you really like and have fun with will make it all the more fun and successful.

If it were me, I would do some drugs. I love getting high at festivals. But that can fuck up your game. Acid or anything like that is going to basically turn your game off and put your dick in the dirt. Ecstasy and stuff like that are probably OK, depending on how you personally handle it. Weed makes me to paranoid to do pickup, but it's different for everyone. A little alcohol can be good, but too much usually fucks up your game - although it's pretty easy to get laid by drunk chicks when you are drunk.

Constantly be on the move. The vibe is different everywhere, especially if there are multiple stages. Don't forget the lines to the water tents, restrooms, and merch tables - people standing in line get bored and really welcome some entertaining conversation.

Get there early, there's always a lot of fun in the parking lot. Start talking to everyone immediately. Get into a very social mood right away. It will make the whole thing a lot more fun, even if you weren't going to do any pickup. Getting warmed up is easy - just walk around the parking lot and say "what's up!" to everybody, ask them who they are excited to see, do lots of "WOOOO"ing, etc. It's a party.

I am jelly. I'm old and I don't go to many outdoor festivals anymore. They really are the most fun thing to do in this world, just about!

I'm a big fan of the dancing. Of course, you either have to be able to dance, or have to have the confidence to pull off a ridiculous dance style without coming across as an idiot. But it is a great way to meet people.

Beyond that, people at festivals are generally having s great time anyway, and usually opening is much easier than at a club or bar.

When I went to Optimus Alive last year in Portugal, there were three girls in front of me and my friends when a certain band was playing. We were all singing the chorus of a song and I just confidently put myself between two of them with my arm over their shoulders and loudly sung the chorus. They laughed and continued singing with me. I later saw them at another chorus and mocked them for singing so out of tune, which led to a conversation.

You can also act like a hero if there are any violent moments or fight circles ( i don't know how to call them, people just start running in a circle and at the drop of the song they all run against each other) you can pull them back and say "be careful" and take it from there.

This thread is great, I'm going to a fest in Florida on Thursday, I am volunteering and therefore getting in for free, but I am going alone, none of my normal life friends like hippy/camping festivals like I do. I know people who are going, but I don't plan on having a certain person or group that I will be with the whole weekend, any tips?

don't be shy, get to know the people camping out next to you. Could be a group of chicks, or a camp that has some single chicks that are tagging along. Invite them over, hang out, etc.

Personally, I would go with the mentality that you are not going there to get laid. 2-3 day old vag is disgusting and no one showers. I would go and hook up and then keep up with them later on when you or they are in the same city as you.
