Allow yourself to become a little more self-centered for at least 1-2 months... I am by no means endorsing becoming selfish or sociopathic.

Take some quality time where your sole focus is NOT about girls, your friends, even your family. Take that time to cook yourself some home cooked meals, work out, juice your vegetables in the morning and/or keeping your apartment extra clean. Do whatever makes YOU happy/fulfilled but also healthy and energetic (cutting the booze down a little bit helped my energy AND bank account.)

In the past, instead of buying myself nice clothes with my extra financial aid I would buy rounds of shots for 5-6 people at the bar. Instead of pursuing the hobbies I like, such as playing guitar and learning French, I would constantly hang out with people so they would "accept" me further. A ridiculous notion, seeing as how many of them were already dear friends. All that time hanging out destroyed my grades which I take very seriously.

I took about 2 months to really focus on MYSELF. It has translated very well to my game... and more importantly my self-fulfillment as a result. I bought myself some nice clothes, meditated every day, started back up with yoga, started going back to therapy, and cooked myself a grass-fed steak once a week.

I realized a while ago that despite conquering approach anxiety, learning how to make interesting conversation on a date and get make-outs on a regular basis I still was appeasing girls as well as my friends like a mother fucker. I was seeking their validation vs. giving out value. It is very possible to get better with girls in a superficial sense but still feel hollow and broken on the inside.

I am gaming for a relationship and was dating a fantastic girl over the Christmas Break. She was probably the most beautiful girl I have ever slept with with a personality to match. She broke it off suddenly because she wanted to take a break to "take inventory for a couple months". I couldn't even be upset because I realized the importance, having just "taken inventory" myself.

It's not the first time we've taken a break. We may get back together. We may not. In the end it won't matter... I've learned to love what's in the mirror. That's all I really need.

Thank guys, happy hunting.
