Sedditors, do you feel little attraction to a majority of the women you attract?

I was literally talking to one of my best friends about this exact thing today. Every SINGLE girl that I chase never is attracted to me back, and all the girls that I date / get with would never ever be my first choice if it came down to it. I'm just for some reason not attracted to them. I know exactly what you mean-- I almost feel guilty for not being attracted to the girls that hit on me.

I've come to the conclusion in recent times that I think it has everything to do with how I behave around girls that I'm attracted to. I think I come across as obsessive and weird around them, whereas I just come across as myself around girls that are attracted to me but where the feeling isn't mutual. I really don't have this idealized Madonna of a woman in my mind, I just want someone who I can talk intelligently to and who is pretty and kind, I don't care about much else beyond that.

I don't really think it has much to do with how high my standards are, or in other words what my expectations are. Some of the girls that I am attracted to are physically not any more beautiful than the girls that are into me, but there's some intangible quality about them that for some reason absolutely drives me crazy. I can't define it.

I really feel you deep man, I've found this to be a real problem in my life and I have no idea how to fix it or how to inform you to do the same. It's just so difficult to define what it means to me, it's like I'm either crazy insanely ridiculously in love with you or I feel absolutely nothing and I really don't give a shit emotionally about you. All the girls that I genuinely care about and am attracted to have uniformly, without exception, never liked me back and it pisses me off immensely. Best of luck!
