In tofu's guide, it says you should always try to leave a girl better than you found her. I really like that advice in theory, but I find it hard to practice.

I have gotten to a point in my game where it is relatively easy (compared to two years ago) to meet, attract, fuck, or even date a girl that I am interested in. Currently, I have several pseudo-girlfriends. There are several girls I like a whole lot, but who are freaking out at me--lots of tears. Or they are really chill, but like too chill--they let me get away with everything for a long period of time, and I am just not that attracted to them anymore though I'd like to remain friends.

What I would really like is to break up with the longer term girls (who technically I am not even dating) and date one girl at a time for shorter periods of time. What happens instead is I pick up a girl and then I get stuck with her. Then I pick up another while the relationship with the first accidentally blossoms.

I am not lying to any of these girls. They just like me anyway, and I don't know what to do.

How do you tactfully break up? How do you do it without undermining the thing you've shared with a girl. I think I just need to sack up, and learn to be more of an asshole. I wonder if there is a more positive, value-giving way to do this though...
