Why you should never think “She’s out of my league”

What if my problem isn't so much that I think I'm out of her league, but that I'm scared she will think I am.

let me explain (Sorry if its a little long winded).

When I was younger in jr/high school I was tired of people expecting so much of me, so I started playing down my intelligence, Using the rational that I would rather surprise someone by being a little smart than disappoint them by not understanding something. It sounds dumb but thats actually what I did, when people ask me a question I would automatically go "I don't know" or give a really vague answer that makes it sound like I don't know what I'm talking about so they would leave me alone. I don't have that attitude anymore but I still assume sometimes that people think I'm dumb, because I lead them to believe so for so long.

Basically when talking to a girl I'm not so much worried that she won't like me, I'm worried that she will miss the chance by writing me off.

tl;dr I was a weird, introverted, shy, lazy kid, who as an adult still has some habits from that time causing problems.

Definatley. If you use that mindset when approaching, you'll subconsciously communicate that you believe you're a loser. That's not cool.

saw HB9 girl at the bar who was alone on the phone. Alone and looking bored. Normaly I would think "shes too hot for me" but not that night. K-closed it at the end
