How can I start and keep a conversation on facebook chat?

Remember that the dynamic is not like sending e-mails or that kind of paragraph-form message. It's a chat, so keep it like a conversation and type the way you speak. This is a hard point for some people, where grammar and punctuation doesn't have to be English-class perfect it just has to serve your tone.

To that end, just start typing and go. Come at her with a story about something funny that happened today and be self-sufficiently hilarious. Once she gets invested in the conversation it's game on as normal, just remember to be aware of your text tone and keep it light. Lots of 'haha's.

Like it or not, keeping texting to a bare minimum (only for setting up dates) is the way to go. Tofu knows his shit.

Its easy because you have a longer time to say something witty. Message her and say "ok i messaged you. What are your next two wishes?" then roll off of that. Remember to be flirty and witty. The great thing about texts and facebook chats is that time is on your side. Keep it sexy and flirty. That should be your frame.

Yeah while we're on the topic, I had an HB9 add me on facebook like a week ago, then messaged me earlier. Obviously she wants the D, and she seems like a normal sane individual. Has anyone ever met up with someone like this? I'm on the fence with this one.

My online game is actually really damn good because I'm a bit of an author. So for shits and giggles I went through a bunch of "random local girls" in facebook search and found a few HB7+.

I then proceeded with the following, "Hey. Are you the <insert name here> I met at the <random place, possibly from her posting history> on Friday night?"

You'd be surprised how many responses I got, either "I might be, what did we talk about?" at which point I make shit up until she calls me on the fact we never met. Or she immediately goes into "Nope must have been someone else". Even better if you can go through your other female friends; friend lists. But stay away from telling you know her friend, and use it later as a "Holy crap, you know <insert name>? We went to high school together, I haven't talked to her in a while."

Next step is to use a variation of, "Oh.. well see she gave me a number but it goes to a sex hotline/old lady/disconnected. Girls wouldn't just give out random numbers to a guy they met at a bar would they? Wouldn't that be awful?""

You can then proceed to run any sort of routine on them that translates well into chat. Even girls you know should be entertained by many of these. Eventually it becomes easy to just flow with the conversation.

Now that you have an opening, it is okay to come back a day or two later and be all. "I'm bored and saw we still had this chat, want to entertain me?" A little self-deprication can actually help online, it makes her much more comfortable talking to you.

But stay away from too much escalation until you can convince her to hang out with you at some place IRL. At some point in the conversation you can tell her "I'm having fun talking to you, would you accept my friend request?" or you could go the "Why don't you send me a friend request? Don't we have fun together?" Have to be careful not to sound like you are fishing, and walk the line between being an asshole and ignoring that you aren't online friends yet...and making her think you don't care. It's like getting a #close

You have to be more "real" online, and a lot more entertaining, which is why canned material helps to keep the ball rolling but you have to transition pretty quickly to natural game.

If it is someone you know already... just talk about shit! Canned shit should work on a friend as well as a stranger, but you need to leave it in the realm of believablity based on what she knows about you. And only go to that when you start to run dry, to keep the conversation interesting.

It is really just about keeping her entertained and looking forward to your conversations so she doesn't just ignore that red notification number.

EDIT: It sounds a bit like stalking online, but don't be a damned stalker! You are using the information that is available to you to build attraction. Don't be creepy, and actually, after I build friendship/attraction I'll even confess to how I found and met her. Usually at that point she finds it funny as hell.
