Look, that might be her way of rejecting you nicely. I have experiences with girls who said guys were coming on too strong and the next day were sleeping with some guy they'd known for two hours. Move on, plenty of fish in the sea.

I think the eye contact thing is something you have to lead with, give it strongly or not at all. They say 70% of the time you should have good eye contact Plus dinner dates aren't a good idea for first dates and from my experience I used to get friend zoned a lot after this move. She really just got a free meal out of you assuming you paid for that too.

I say you should read some more material, mark manson's models has a great section on the "dating process"
