Saw a really cute girl walk past me on the bus, 5 minutes later when we both got off I approached her, with "Excuse me, but you look awesome" (vaguely translated) with a semi-confused face. Tried to do it so I would get a reaction where she would explain why she was dressed/looked like that.

She said "thanks, wow thank you" blushed and looked down/away which my stupid mind took, momentarily, as she wasn't interested, which was stupid. So I smiled and walked away seconds after. Should have just asked her for her name, it would've been awesome. But, but, practice makes perfect and I'm super happy I approached someone on my way to school!

Personally, the hotter they are, the easier it is to approach because it motivates me so much more

Even though I've only done two daygame approaches, I love the thrill of it. Be yourself and keep approaching!
