So basically over the past 2 weeks I set up two "dates" with two girls that I've been interested in. Apparently these "dates" weren't really dates and were just hang outs as friends. The first hang out I went to and tried to escalate but was denied and she told me she was taken. The second hang out I didn't even go to because I asked if it was a date or hang out and she said a hang out as just friends.

Now I have no where to turn. I know two bad experiences isn't a lot but my college is pretty small and a lot of my friends hyped up the first "date" even though it wasn't a date at all. Right now I just feel pretty demotivated and don't know where to continue cause I'm back at square 1 as usual.

Should I go out around campus during my free time and just try to pick up? Because the girls in my classes are girls that I already know from my year and if they aren't in my year they aren't so attractive...
