For a few months I've been following this subreddit, but never posted a thread.

Today I had the random idea to reflect back on the last couple of months and how I've been handling my approaches with girls. and especially where it went wrong.

Even though I haven't had any k - closes or f - closes, confidence wise I made huge improvements.

The thing about me is that I can hold my own in a conversation, I have a very dry sense of humor and am witty as fuck, on top of that is also a layer of sarcasm.

My problem is still the actual approach, and what to say immediately after that, often the approach feels forced, and that's probably one of the reasons holding me back.

On the other hand, when I happen to roll in a conversation I didn't initiate I'm very comfortable and I use my aforementioned humor/witt/sarcasm to make the conversation fun.

So then I thought; why is this?

Then it hit me: all those times I had those great conversations (most of them also involving some kino), I actually didn't give a fuck.

I wanted to have fun, and so I did, and by doing that I was able to get comfortable and have a good conversation.

Below is one of my experiences when I went out with a group of friends last week:

My friends know I'm scared to approach girls, so they came up with a little game. They just told me: you're going to approach someone in the next 10 min or you pay the next round.

It ended up with me walking up a girl, held my hand out without saying a word, she put her drink down, and we danced. Eventually I had to pull stories/answers out of her so I walked back to my friends and got a victory sip from the beer they had to buy.

I still have a long way to go, but Seddit helped me a great deal in understanding the basics of the game, not give a fuck, and be outcome independent.
