Yeah it's hard to flirt with girls that you're attracted to in high school If your afraid of rejection, one thing that does help a lot though is to cultivate a life style that distracts you from them and is fun for you/puts you in a good mood regardless of school, like hobbies and stuff your interested in. This will help you to be attractive in high school because most people have a general idea of your life outside of school and if they think you have more fun than them they will be attracted. You could start approaching girls your age outside of school like i do but its very risky because you don't want people at school to associate you with the pickup image

I was the same way in HS. Best to start reducing your angst by doing a mind trick: when you see a girl that makes you nervous, imagine you've known her all your life and she's an old friend. Treat her like that. It works like magic!

Honestly, you're past the biggest hurdle most people have. Talking to girls you're not interested in is great. Try to approach girls that you like and just keep working at it. You're young enough where it will pay off in the future.

The problem you're having is you're putting them on a pedestal. They take nasty shits just like you do. They're awkward and self conscious just like you. They're normal people and they are no different than all those other girls you can talk to.

Work on your inner game. You'll never know if you had a shot, unless you take it.

If you can't talk to them, how on earth you gonna fuck them? Talking is the simple part, just realize you have a long way to go and start by saying hello, without putting too much pressure on yourself for results.

If she says hi back, you should consider that a success, and move forward in your journey from there.
