Hi seddit, qualifier: my story is nothing special, however, I felt like I should recap the night, and figure if I was doing it anyway I should share with you guys and hopefully contribute back something.

I finally had a great night that I would like to share. Quick backgroud. First, in the past year, I am just out of a LTR, and have not had the opportunity to meet/connect with many different girls and understand who is 'out there' (note: I don't want to get myself into another LTR, I just know there are so many amazing women out there, and I would like to meet as many as I can). Recently, a typical, a night out for me will consist of: be very confident and ready to chat up some girls. Arrive at club/bar, my AA takes over quickly, and I am unable to do anything. Once my overwhelming AA is realized, I drink, too much. Then, once I am too drunk to be myself, I can talk to anyone; fortunately, this occasionally results in an F-close that night; unfortunately, it never results in someone I actually make a connection with or ever talk to again.

Finally, this week, I realized how sick I am of going out and not meeting girls I think are cute, and pursuing them in any meaningful way, and I decided fuck it I am going to approach girls tonight, sober. So that is exactly what I did, just did it. The club I went to tonight was doing a halloween party. I approached girls all night, simply opening by guessing what their costume was. Although some girls were simply not interested, most of them would at least have small conversation (guess what I was etc.) and were mostly nice about it. I talked to a lot of girls tonight, mostly unfruitful, however, by not giving up and getting discouraged, I managed to # - close two girls, using this same approach.

Girl 1(HB7): She was standing with her friend, and both of them were in costumes that were obviously very last minute. So I approached them, guessed there costumes, and mildly heckled them for no effort into the costume. After talking to them for a few minute my buddy stepped in, thankfully, (wingman for the night), and helped me to isolate the HB7. So I chatted her up (mostly asking questions about her), however let a few things slip about me (unfortunately it was somewhat embellished as she seemed to bite on what I said, and I kept exaggerating. I regret this, as I found out towards the end of the conversation that one of the people she came with was a girl I spoke to earlier, and actually told her the truth, so I fell like it will be obvious that I lied.). Finally, here friends came over and said they were hopping to another bar, but she asked if I would take her # so (of course) I did, and gave her a missed call so she would have my number. From talking to her, it turns out that she is leaving for another country for several months at the end of the week, however, she was pretty, and a follow up fclose would be alright in my books. I have no idea how to start into that though, and any advice would be appreciated.

Girl 2 (HB8.5): This was a girl I had been looking at all night, but she was always with a few people, and I kept getting too overwhelmed to approach. Towards the end of the night, I noticed her standing by herself sending a text, and I said fuck it, I'm going to introduce myself. So I went and just did it (again, opening with the costume guess), she was immediately receptive, and we started trying to have a conversation, it was far too loud where we were standing though, so I suggested going to sit somewhere more quite and she agreed. We had a nice conversation (for a club) and she seemed like someone worth seeing some more, so I ended up spending a fair amount of time talking to her/building attraction, and it seemed to work, as I got a # close. When the people I came with were ready to leave, they came and grabbed me, and I told the HB8.5 that I had to take off, but I will text her tomorrow, and she replied with "good". Now she seems like someone worth pursuing more long game, and I have no experience on follow up for this situation either. Again, any advice would be much appreciated (more so for girl 2).

Apologies for not being the best FR, however, I wanted to get this out for myself, and if anyone can take anything from it, I can only be more happy. As well, if there is any advice that can be provided for next day follow up, I will be entirely grateful, as I have exactly zero experience with this. TL;DR: I know that this is old news, however, I am just shocked at how by: being yourself, not getting discouraged and APPROACHING you will be successful.
