I hear this a lot, but I have a lot of attractive female friends that use Tindr, and I've seen that it's possible to build attraction over text. I do not have the skill, but it's one I'd really like to acquire.

A hot female friend of mine was visiting, and she's a junky for Tindr. I started asking her questions and she ended up showing me all the guys that she's been talking to and their conversations. Guys that did things like make brash references and sent pictures of interesting things they had done or funny things they had seen that day seemed to get a good reaction. Also, just jumping directly into stories ("You're not going to believe the shit that just happened to me..." etc.) seemed to get a good reaction.

Mostly it seems to be just an extension of your in-person personality, with a focus on being a good storyteller and always seeming like you're just on the cusp of being too busy to deal with her because your life is so interesting, but you saw this one ridiculous thing and thought of her.

Girls text all the time. Having a couple of texts fly back and forth isn't that weird. The thing is that it's hard to do it without getting needy as a guy, and it's hard to keep things casual (text like a girl) while still conveying sexual energy (sounding like a man).

Like I said, it's not my bag, and I don't know where to go for resources, but there's a game there for sure.

I see what you mean. But I ask you: Is it really worth all the trouble? Does the guy have to make himself a dancing monkey online with a total stranger in the hopes of calling her attention?

No doubt, if i relate stories and interests to a woman online, I sure do hope she puts the same kind of effort for me, if not whats the point?

Not to mention she's at any time receiving messages from some 20 different guys, all competing for her attention, so why would you willingly put yourself in that kind of situation?

I have pretty experience in these date apps like badoo and tindr and if you stick long enough you'll find that most of the girls have absolutely no intention of ever meeting someone. They only want the attention and validation they get online without the trouble of real life situations.

That's why you go for a real meeting, there you already isolated her and 90% of the job is done, no way in hell I'm gonna spend my precious time entertaining someone in the HOPE that she'll give me the time of the day.

'Cuz it's fun. I just like flirting. Seeing how far you can push stuff is fun, and it's a good way to kill time and build an image of yourself. Plus you can experiment with new stories or new ways of telling stories you already have, and get better at it. It's like being able to have a mini date with somebody without having to bother putting your pants on.

Plus, to a lot of girls, I think text messaging with a guy can be a lot like whispering a conversation in her ear. Nobody else gets to see her text history, unless she's proud of herself and wants to show you off to her friends, or get them to help her come up with witty things to say (which, newsflash, they do). So it's a good way to build intimacy.

If you hate texting, then, yeah. Don't bother. And if your goal is 100% just to get women into bed, maybe there are more efficient ways. I'm out to enjoy myself and have a good time, though. If I'm having fun and it makes me feel good about myself, chances are it makes her feel good about me, too. Just don't get clingy, and if she doesn't respond back, text her something like, "OMG... I can't believe you're missing this..." and then just leave it until you feel like picking it up again.

It's my awesome world, and whether girls want to spend time in it is their call, but I like to think they're missing out if they don't.

There is a gigantic difference between flirting in real life and meeting that person and exchange texts with a stranger. Believe me, It may seem fun, but there is absolutely no comparison to the real deal.

Not to mention that the persona someone puts online is in no way representative of who she really is, and that what I really wanna find out, be it for sex, relationship or whatever your objective might be.

Thing is, you just CANNOT have a relationship online, it doesn't exist, you can't find love and you can't find sex or anything else for that matter.

Texting back and forth may be actually be fun if there's rapport, but it is just a VERY poor substitute for interactions with actual human beings, not online personas, which I believe seduction is all about.

Text just doesn't take you out of your socially anxious shell and doesn't make you better socially, which kinda negates what we do here.

tldr: Texting is just an excuse for AFC's.

I just think people leave a lot on the table by totally discounting it. Ultimately, to me, seduction is about communication - but the right kind of communication. Anything that makes the girl feel all funny and stirred up inside and want to spend time with you more is good sexual communication. Being good at summoning that kind of communication out of thin air is a skill that definitely improves you as a person. It gets you thinking a certain way, and looking for certain ways of turning a conversation on its head. Plus, if I don't have good rapport with a girl, she's honestly not worth my time. I don't waste my time on boring girls who don't keep me interested.

Clearly, the goal is always to be moving toward getting together. But once we do get together, my job's going to be a hell of a lot easier if I've already laid a foundation of attraction and made her excited to see me. I've had a couple of fluke texting barrages with girls that turned into sexting, and they were very excited to see me when we finally got together. I haven't been able to capture that lightning in a bottle, but there's got to be more to it.

And like I said, it's fun!
