Cold Feet?

This happens for 2 reasons:

1) You are outcome dependent so you get nervous and worried that you are going to fuck up. A better approach is to go into thinking that it doesn't matter what she thinks of you. and even if she totally rejects you life goes on.

2) You feel like dates are a thing where you basically perform for the woman and impress them. That's not the right away to approach it. Dates should be fun for you as well - you should go to a place that you yourself enjoy and you should make them impress you. If you're not having fun, bail - she will understand that you are not a pushover that will sit at her feet no matter how boring or stupid she is .

I think in "No More Mr. Nice Guy" the author suggests to follow the rule "If you're afraid of it, do it". In my opinion this is good advice, and I started to follow it. Obviously this doesn't mean to run across the highway during rush hour or something, but applies to asking for a promotion, confronting somebody, going on a date... I only see upsides to having this attitude.

You have to stop caring about whether she's going to like you or not. Develop your confidence first, and go into every date with the attitude that she'd be crazy to not want to be with you.

This always crosses my mind. I'm always like shit i really don't feel like entertaining someone tonight. But I always end up going and have a great time.
