I turned a Tinder-match into a date and the following happened. I hope you can learn something from it, I did. Feedback on what I did and how to make the FR better is appreciated.

Got matched with a girl on Tinder and after some messages I told her she should give me her number so we could do something. She gave me her number and I did the old "I'll text you something sexy" thing and send a text with "Sexy - PUAdog". She responded extraordinarily well to this which actually bummed me out because I think it's so cheesy and not true to myself. Obviously I just have to stop doing that as I'm screening for something I find unattractive. She wrote the day after asking when the date was happening so I scheduled to go to an inside flea market saturday.

We went there and apparently it was cancelled so I had to wing it. We got out and walked around talking looking for a cheap place to have coffee (or in my case tea). After walking around for a while we found a place, went inside and (surprise) got something to drink and then went downstairs (I lead her there) because there was no one so it would be more private. Conversation was easy, we had a lot in common and I used statements and if I asked something it was a callback to something she had said earlier (showing that I listened). She talked most of the time which is good, but I don't think it was me alone that did that, she's probably just a talker. After some time I got a little bored because although she was a nice person and we had some laughs I was not attracted to her looks. I excused myself and went to the bathroom and set an alarm to go of in 20 minutes planning to say that I had to go now. When it did go off I did not leave though as she was steadily talking and I think we actually talked for another 40 minutes before I pulled out my phone, checked the time and said I had to go. I said goodbye, hugged her and then left. We had been together for about two hours talking the whole time. I don't think I'll see her again.

Before meeting her I was extremely nervous because it was a big step out of my comfort zone. It wasn't that bad though and I'm impressed we kept talking the whole time, we just had to find some common ground. I tried to keep eye-contact even though we were walking and when she wasn't looking still looked at her as I read it shows you're listening. A smile and a nod here and there is also an excellent tool to keep her talking. I'd love some help on how to end a date. It felt like we could have kept talking forever and I don't like faking another appointment

Notes:

  • Don't screen for stuff you don't like.
  • Do more kino (I hugged her when we met and when we parted. Other than that we sat on a bench beside eachother. I was not very motivated to do more as I weren't attracted to her)
  • Be more sure of plans
  • Lead the interaction. I chose where we went and what we talked about
  • Step out of the comfort zone, you'll feel amazing afterwards

TLDR: Tinder-match turned to date. Went to a flea market that were cancelled so went for coffee that were tea. Conversation ensued for two hours then I left.
