Every time I approach women at the bar in the club, I say hello, ask for the name, then almost like a reflex; I ask if they want to dance. Am I making a mistake? Cause this hardly ever works!!!

Well if it's not working, then yes it's a mistake.

Try engaging them a little bit more than the basic small talk. They hear it all the time, it's not going to keep them interested.

I never ask a girl's name. I will just continue the conversation until they ask mine. Whey they finally ask, I usually say it's "Amber" or "Tiffany" or something.

Make them work for it. Stop saying "Hi what's your name?"

Just a small tip, don't ask them to dance.

I used to be in that circle but I found it much more successful to hold out your hand (don't grab theirs) and say "come dance with me"...with a sexy smile. It works more often then not. :)

The content of your words doesn't matter. It's all about the emotional context.

If you are emoting good feelings, she'll be much more likely to comply.
