My role is to pick up the glasses in a lounge bar that has a small dance floor on weekends that turns into a bit of a nightclub when I work. I work usually every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night till close.

My role is pretty basic, to pick up empty glasses and deliver food to people as people get a "food voucher" when they pay for entry. Even when it's busy I'd still be able to chat with people and now the peak seasons over it's even quieter meaning I'd have more time to talk to people.

I'm 23 and I've worked here for three months now. The first two months I just wanted to work hard to give my boss a good impression of me but now I'm more comfortable in my role and also my manager knows I'm a hard worker I want to try and pickup girls. I see other staff, mainly bar staff but also including glassys getting girls numbers, being given them by girls and even sometimes going home with them after we close the bar.

Is there any suggestions or tips you have for this kind of setting that would help me pickup, suggestions for conversation starters etc?
