I've asked multiple girls to go out with me through text. But it almost never works. Just today I asked a girl out via text after I met her in person on 2 occasions. The first was casual, the second was very flirty and she was showing multiple IOI's.

When I was talking to her in person I used hot - cold effectively, for example, I would compliment her on how she's an actor and call her cute, but then I would make fun of her accent and the way she says words. She even invited me to one of her musicals, to which I said: "I'd go if you're worth the trouble", demonstrating higher value, to which she laughed off saying "wow, okay". She also has a lot of respect for the basketball team for which I play as we won every tournament last year. I even made sure to post a picture of me and a trophy for this year for her and all the other girls I was talking with to see on snap chat. The only way I failed to attract her more is that I did not kino escalate during the second encounter due to us being in a library in a quite open space. She was nervous around me as well which was also a good sign. So when I asked for her snapchat she said "Yes of course, sure!" and went halfway across the library to get her phone after I told her so.

So I tried to keep the texting to logistics only. She replies very fast, whereas I took a day to text her back (not on purpose I was actually busy). And tonight when I texted her that I had a match this Saturday I asked what she was doing during the weekend. She texted back "nothing really, might go out Friday". To which I replied "You wanna go out with me on friday?". Now, in retrospect, I should have said "Let's go out this Friday" instead of asking for her permission. But in any case she replied

"ahahahaha, no i'm going out with my friends, ahahaha dw". I took this as a rejection, even if a micro one.

I tried to recover by saying " cool, i'm not worried lol" and then "i'm going to bed, but i'm free sunday".

What did I do wrong?

PS: In the case of shit tests she almost never did shit test me, but she said something along the lines of "the librarians are going to yell at us if we keep talking here", to which I said "don't worry about it they won't". This actually may have been a hint of trying to take the conversation outside in a more secluded area than a shit test though.
