Today, while I was on break at work, I sat down next to a girl today and we talked about business for a couple minutes.

When I said that we should get coffee sometime, she told me that she had a boyfriend. Here was my response:

"I wasn't tryin' to flirt with you or nothing, I was just asking you for coffee. That's all." (something to that nature)

However, she did say that she WAS open to POSSIBLY getting coffee and talking about business. (She's in business, as am I.) At the end of the conversation, I told her that her boyfriend was lucky to have her.

The next time I come across the "I have a boyfriend", what is a good alpha response I can use back?

I want something that will get her respect, and not get me fired from my job in retail.
