In my experience flat out asking them works for me even if they are out of your league its better to try and fail than to not play at all.

Dude...if the only girls you meet are popular and attractive then guess what? That's your crowd. Your "league," if you will.

One of the best things ever said to me was, as a (previous) fat kid who was a little insecure but played it off because i didn't give a fuck was from a girl. She said about myself and my close friends, to me, "You guys all only hang out with attractive people. Like, I've never seen any of you with unattractive people." And then I realized we were all in the same league.

There's no club you can go to that's full of only moderately attractive girls that you think are in your league. If you believe girls are in or out of your league, then every girl is out of your league because you don't have confidence. Go ask a girl that you want to take to prom instead of the girl you think will say yes.

Getting a date for the prom isn't too difficult. From my experience girls only say no if they're already going with someone. Think about it, girls love dressing up and all the pomp and circumstance that comes with events like the prom. Go to the mall or anywhere where girls your age hang out and get some numbers. Considering your situation it's going to be hard for girls to say no and before you know it you'll have to pick one girl to go with out of a pool of many.

Ask whomever you like. If they turn you down, just say "okay" and ask the next one, even if they're standing right next to the girl you just asked. It shows confidence and abundance mindset. There's no such thing as a league. Every person is just as human as everyone else, and everyone is available.
