I'd avoid the serious ones, unless the mood calls for it. Saying something romantic can often times be the final push a girl needs once she's half naked in bed with you giving you LMR, though.

I have fucked up before a few times when being called a "player",or as "saying charming things to all the girls" etc. One particular time, I actually denied being a player so strongly that I was calling female friends over to vouch for me. I like to use that idiocy as a trigger now to never read too much into what a woman says that early in an interaction. Most likely she is just trying to gauge your reaction to a challenge or an involuntary response to how smooth you seem. She may be trying to vocalise how different (in a good way) this is as an interaction and see if you commit to the 'authenticity' of what you're saying, or break and admit that it was all an act/prepared routine. Also don't forget that if she is saying these kinds of things then she's highly considering you as an imminent sexual partner.

So my advice would be to spin it in a way that says, "yeah I might talk to a lot of women in this way" but "I'm in the moment and if I see something I want I go for it, and in this case I wanted to talk to you." Anything that shows your calmness and confidence in the face of her challenge will increase her interest.

I now take a woman saying anything to that effect as a positive more than a negative. It shows you're leading the interaction and creating the frame. If she says "but I just met you tonight" its an invitation to take her on an adventure, something spontaneous and more real than what she would regard as a standard interaction with a man.

I'd personally either respond with banter: "aw are you jealous, how sweet" or maybe i'd be more serious and say the truth:"I do talk to girls yes but no conversation is the same"

Be honest and explain that you do it to give yourself options or you want to enjoy life and for you enjoying life is meeting new women and/or having casual sex. Speak from your heart whatever is your motivation.
