experiences really. anything you enjoy becomes interesting. i once had a conversation with a girl about my world of warcraft account, it all depends how you say it. quality over quantity.

Im truly curious how you went about that. I always feel so weird talking about video games with people outside of my friends

Well when I was younger WoW was my life. I was pretty very good at arena and back then it meant something to have good gear in the game. Sold that toon when I stopped playing seriously for $1,000. (traded levelling up my WoW toons for levelling up my gainzzzz) Just talked about that and then transition into what the game actually is etc. I guess it just helped that I offered a different perception on something she assumed was for neckbeard nerds.
Main thing is, don't be afraid. If you show you don't give a shit that you play games it wont be such a big deal. I think girls like it when a guy who goes to the gym etc does something "nerdy". My mate who picks up ridiculously is a top 10 DOTA2 player in Aus

I pick up cute korean chicks all the time by telling them I'm diamond on starcraft 2, shit makes their panties drop to the floor and they always wanna come over and watch me roll some scrubs on ranked as zerg, afterwards we hop in the sack and as I'm going ham I yell out FOR THE SWARMMMMMMM, and then she moans even louder OHHOhH YESS OHH. And that's my story

Travel. Do it as much as you can. Every spare dollar, every free day you have -- instead of blowing it on something stupid, go on an adventure. See the world. Gain experiences. There's little more interesting than a worldly man.

For a start, read what you're interested in. If you like planes read about planes, you like super heroes read comics, you like fashion, read magazines. What ever you have an interested in, just read about it.

Thinking about the difference just trying new things made to my self confidence and how much success i had, compared to right now (havent been doing too much latley of anything) is incredible. I seriously starting too think this is a major key to my own current troubles so I will take up whatever I can ASAP!
For some suggestions I can suggest dance classes, this worked for me as Im usualy very tense and move in very calculated robotic motions due to it, so going to salsa classes really helped me with those besides being more interesting. It was also at a club so I often had the chance to do a couple of sets after even on a thursday night, and actually had my most success doing that. I started the gym too, but I wouldnt say it makes me that interesting as alot of guys do it, but it does make me get more comfortable around what are viewed as "more powerful" guys, yes even though im 6ft, definatly not skinny and now very nicely toned I was quite shy around the greek statues that inhabited the gym.
Something Im now tempted to try out is cheer leading. One of my gym buddies does it and said I should give it a go due to my awesome power to weight ratio and flexability, so why not? :P

On one level, stop viewing "interesting" as something that you need to become. A large part of being interesting is to simply be interested in things, and other people will naturally be interested in what you're interested in.
For example, a lot of great comedians just say what's on their mind or what they think is funny. Obviously, they go out of their way to rehearse their performances, make sure that their jokes are still good, etc., but a very large part of their success is simply saying what they find funny.
The things that you do don't make you interesting. You make the things that you do interesting.
