Thoughts on using FaceTime/Skype when communicating with a girl?

I think texting is easier, more convenient, and FaceTime should be reserved for when you know each other better.

As a woman, I say if she wants to, then it's a good idea.

Edit: especially if you're interested in her. It shows that you have more than a casual interest. Also, even if you barely know her, I don't see a problem. I've skyped with people I met online before meeting them. It's a great way to keep from being catfished.

Mix it up a bit. When my boyfriend and I first got together we text and video chatted on the site we met on. Then about 3mths into the relationship, we were skyping due to him being deployed to Iraq. A good balance between texting and video chatting is the way to go I think.
