At parties, if I like a set, should I stick with it or open other sets too?

as opposed to only talking to one set or , even worse, staying with the same girl(s) the whole night ? hell no, introduce yourself to all the people you want. it will do wonders for your social proof and you'll only improve your people skills in doing so.

regarding "re-entry", an easy trick is to always be the one that closes off an interaction, so you can tell them " don't worry I'll be right back " and then of course go back whenever you feel like it

I'm still taking baby steps but here is my current method.

Approach as many sets as you are interested in. If you see 3 groups you like, they make an initial rotation between them. You may immediately hit it off with one so you can decide how long you stay at this point. Opening other sets, builds value since you are demonstrating you can hang out with anyone you want and be happy. Under no circumstances should you make any set feel like they are responsible for you.

After initial opens, go back to your favorite/best set and continue. My usual interjection is just referring to a highlight in our previous conversation playfully. "There's the star of the show!" after meeting a spunky lady with theater aspirations. I don't really think about how to come back to sets. I just make eye contact, smile, and return.
