Here's what I would honestly recommend to any of my rl buddies going first time clubbing.

Get a bit drunk. Make a game of doing sme shots with your friends because it will loosen you up.
On the dance floor NOBODY CARES I can't stress this more, and that's what the alcohol bit is for, it makes you care less.
The oldest easiest trick in the book is too show everyone you're having a good time, people get easily attracted to the guy in the middle of the dance floor who is giving no fucks.
Dont be afraid to say hello.

When I'm with my female friends at clubs, a lot of guys will either stare at them or harass them despite them having zero interest in the guy.

Don't be either of those guys.
