First of all, don't worry. Literally every year tons of freshman run into this problem.

All improvements start in the mind. Don't let thoughts of crushing failure hold you back. Failing to succeed does not mean failing to progress. So what if a girl doesn't talk to you or you had an awkward conversation? If you're still worried about a 5 minute window of your life a month later then you're being ridiculous. So, fill your thoughts with improvement. "I'm gonna say hi to this girl". Better than not saying anything. "I'm gonna say hi and ask this girl what her name is". And you keep building small things like that.

The next improvement comes through your habits. #1 Keep clean. Cleanliness is the key to success in life. Organizing, laying and doing pretty much anything in your room becomes easy if it's clean. Clean yourself too. Get a haircut that fits who you are and who you want to show other people you are. Shower every day, and wear a little bit of smell that you like. Spend the next 6 months developing a fashion style, something that lets you stand out from everyone else. Something that makes you a real person.

Get involved in anything and everything. Always say yes to an opportunity to do something you've never done before, unless you think you're actually going to die (Don't chug anything as a freshman, you'll literally die). Go with a friend to the social dance. Go with a group of girls to a party. Go alone to a party. Walk up to random people at 10 at night and say "Hey guys, I'm a freshman and I'm drunk and I want to party" and someone will take you in. Have no shame in wanting to get yourself out there.

Now, here's the part you've been waiting for. You have to talk to people. It's not important what you talk to them about. It's important that you ARE talking to them. A 1 word conversation is still improving your speaking skills more than a 0 word conversation. You can practice approaching with "Hi, my name is --, what's yours?" infinite times, and it's pretty much my go to opener for any situation unless I can come up with something better in the moment.

Always talk to the girl you want to talk to RIGHT NOW. Not later, right now. If you put something off continually, it will be weird when you do it and it won't go as well. Just talk to people and figure out tricks to make conversation about the girl. Ask her questions. You don't even need tricks if you're just interested in who she is. Just ask and listen. Then reply with a similar story and a smile. Then ask for her number. Awesome. Let's go dance? If she says no, call her boring and then suggest getting some drinks. If she says no to that, then you should move on.

Get used to just talking to a girl once and never doing it again. 10% of people will want nothing to do with you, 10% will love you no matter what. Seduction is about converting the other 80%. Start slow. Walk before you run, but always try to go faster, be bolder and game better.

If you have any other questions about college game or anything related to college, I'm pretty well versed as I am literally living the life right now and my success has been only getting better since I started going to this subreddit and really focusing on the points I've been touching on.

Look around your campus one day. Count the pretty girls you see. Realize that they are common. From there, you'll stop giving so much of a shit and start interacting with them for what they are - just another college student like you. Don't worry about building confidence yet, that comes naturally with time and practice. But as long as you treat them like a different species, nothing will change.

It helps to have something to talk about. Get out and do something interesting. Develop hobbies (other than video games). Campuses have clubs, join them. Say yes to every reasonable activity you get invited to.

And dude, if girls are walking into your room, and starting conversations, you are halfway there. Just relax, it'll work out.

Maintain attraction by approaching more, learn from approaches, rinse and repeat. That's it. No shortcut. The more experiences you learn from the better off you are. As for inner-game lookup RSDtyler. hes got some really good philosophies of inner game and how to project true confidence.
