So a girl I knew vaguely from last year recently texted me while I was in one of my classes. She said she'd thought she saw me in the class and I told her it was me. We went on with a few more messages poking fun of the professor and then our class got to teaching SMART goals and what they were. I hadn't responded to her in about 20 minutes so I texted her "My SMART goal is to survive 30 more minutes of this class and then go to lunch with you in the student center!" to which she responded "really! As a matter of fact I was about to head that way!" We ended up eating lunch and talking for about an hour and a half and ended on a pretty good note.
The weirdest thing was I had never tried the whole "Let's meet up here at this time" approach before and it worked on my first try! I guess the point I'm getting at is stop asking for dates! Make them!
