Bus is good, you get to sit close, maybe bring some headphones and listen to music with her.

If you can go over to her house maybe try taking a walk.

I used to get my parents to drive me and my girlfriends around, they usually don't mind because they understand that you're building relationships.

You have a few options: If she has the means, you can get her to come to you. When you do get the chance to see her in person. Figure out a smooth way to pull her away from the group, and then ask her. You can also save up some gas money to give to a friend or relative to drive you over there. Try might even do it for free if you tell them the cause. Or get a bike.

When I didnt have my car I used the lyft app. It gets a little pricey if you have to go 15+ miles. It also helps get you into a social mood talking to the driver.

If she drives, she can always pick you up.

Just more investment from her end, if she usually doesn't do that, she'll reason she really likes you, resulting in an easier close.
