I'm new to the game, and a pattern that I've become aware of is that I constantly try to qualify myself to the girl I am with.

I am good at this! I care about these people! I can help you with this! I am cool because of this! I have many friends! I've gone so far as to show a girl my college transcripts lol.

I am working on having us qualify ourselves, at least equally; preferably, she feels the need to qualify herself more to me. With the latest girl I spent time with, I found out she was a nurse who works with stroke patients. She came across as caring, sweet, and gentle. She asked about my studies and future goals, and I told her I wanted to become a psychologist. She asked me why, and I told her because I like helping people (bullshit, cliche answer, but she and most of the girls I go for know very little English). The point is I wasn't trying to convince her of anything.

The next pieces I need to work on are maintaining conversation and escalating physically.
