It was a cold night, and a night he hadn't planned on going out on. Nonetheless he did, be that in scraggly clothes, unkept beard, and without a sense of fashion.

But the night continued on. He arrived at his destination where the crowd was 99% old and elderly. A crowd that most would find unatactive due to age or looks. This reaffirmed his earlier thought that there was no need to look nice or be prepared for meeting someone.

Oh was he wrong.

In she came, with a beautiful face, eyes that could stun any man, and also a booty! It was as if she was brought here just so that he could meet her.

There eyes met, and locked for a time period that even the most naive person would know that chemistry existed between the two.

Then his most mortal crept in and crippled him, none other than anxiety. Anxiety spoke in his distasteful manner. "Don't you dare approach her! Others will judge you! You look like crap! You did not even take the time to shave, there is no way she would want to talk to you."

He did his best to fight anxiety, but alas his best was not enough. For he hesistated, and not a mere five minutes later, he turned around and she was gone just as quickly as she arrived to the scene.

He tried to make up excuses, it would never work, he said. Or he would try and bull shit himself even further. "She wasn't starting at my gaze" He would lie to himself. Even as he made these thoughts, he knew that they stank more than a pile of horse manuer.

Opportunity had shined its face, and he merely scoffed at it. Who knows what the potential could have been, what could have happened. One thing is for sure though is that we will never know.

He arrived home shortly later, and his night ended in regret.

TLDR: I let anxiety get the best of me tonight. I am trying to improve as approaching is the hardest 'part' for me. Do not let that person be you. Rejection is 10000x times better than never knowing. Friends don't let friends not approach
