So before I get into this let me pre-face it with two things. First I just recently got out of a relationship of 3 years this is my first real attempt at getting back "on the horse". Second all dialouge that occurs in this FR is in SPANISH. I do not speak it fluently but enough to get around.

So...I'm going out with more or less best spanish friend the night before christmas. He says his GF has some really cute spanish friends. This gets me excited as well as pumps me up for the night. We first feat dinner with his family which ends around 2am. Then head off to meet with up with his GF and her friends before going to the bar were we party for the rest of the night.

We meet up with his GF and have some quick small talk. I introduce myself to the GF's two friends HB7 and HB9. I am extremely freaking nervous. One I am just now for the first time meeting women again with intentions other than being friendly, and two its not in my naitive tounge. I stumble greatly in talking and HB7 is clearly turned off by it, yet I think HB9 actually thinks its cute that I am trying this in a foreign language.

So we are ready to go to the bar were we will be partying tonight, and I go with the girls in their car, where my friend and his buddy go in my friends car. (I read somewhere that its good to travel together since you are now entering as friends not aquantices.)

We get to the bar which my friends' friends' bar. They lock the doors and say drink as much as you want. Fucking awesome. Theres about 25 people in the bar and I can quickly tell that more or less everyone know everyons else except me. This puts me on the edge. I go to the bathroom and give myself a peptalk just to say dont worry about failing. yada yada.

Everyone more or less is at 1 long table which is blatently divided girls at one end guys on the other. (It felt like I was at highschool or somethign) Not feeling ballsy enough to approach the side of just chicks I sit down inbetween a group of my guys and start up conversation in spanish, ask them their names, and ask if they want to play a drinking game. They say yea of course and we play for the next hour or and get pretty drunk.

The night goes on and I've friends now with every guy at the bar, but only the original HB7, HB9 and my friends GF in terms of the women. I also note that it still seems very weird how segregated the guys/girls are. I think that its strange that the person to break the ice should be the person that knows the language and people the least.

Feeling the confidence of the who knows how many drinks I make my entry point with my friends GF. We already knew each other and we both liked each other a lot in terms of friendship. I sit down next to her and ask what she and her friends are doing. She says that they are playing some kind of spanish version of charades. I ask if I can join, she says of course, but I need a partner with this version of the game. Introduce HB7. The group of girls warn me that the game will be difficult for someone who doesnt speak spanish. I say dont worry Ill be fine. The game continues and I do very well (thanks dirty spanish friends who teach me only innappropiate words) This gets me to more or less meet all of the rest of the women at the party. Tons of HB7 and 8's but all my interest is in the one HB9 that I originally met at the begging of the night.

Fast forward its 6 am and Im rediculousy drunk. I can tell though that things are wrapping up and people will be leaving soon. I see HB9 and say fuck it. Now I can't remember the entire conversation and I dont even remember how she received my comment (bad) but what I do remember saying very clearly in spanish is that I thought she was beautiful and if I could get her number. She gave it to me. I say something else and proceed to say goodbye to everyone else at the party.

Overall I think I did OK. But I was really dissapointed how much of my game I seemed to have lost over 3 years. I also could not believe how flustered I was when originally talking to the women. I met them the morning of the 24th and its now the 26th. I have not texted her yet and wanted to see how you all think I did/can improve what to do from here on out.

Finally I apoligize if this FR isnt perfect. Its my first one! I ready the rules and did as best as a could.
