I've been contemplating the idea that I am scaring shyer girls off this way. After limited time spent "ice-breaking," I will directly express or strongly imply that I am sexually interested (kino, closeness, actual statements) without pushing too hard. I elicit blushing / giggling / and one girl even told me that she was too embarrassed and shy when I tried to k-close her.
I usually don't hear back after making my intentions clear in our previous meet-up. I know logically that I have a great deal going for me as a person, but I'm going to break frame here for a little. Feel free to give me as much shit as you want for it.
I feel like I made a really strong connection with a girl (rode my motorcycle down to a beach, lots of kino there, comfort building, etc.) and she seemed excited to see me again. I tried setting up a bunch of events we could go to after that and jokingly used "makenai!" which means "I won't give up!." She went back to Japan on Friday and I sent her a friend request on facebook, which she declined.
If it helps, the girls are Japanese from Japan and the reasons I try to escalate quickly are that they are here in Hawaii for a limited amount of time and that I am trying to prevent myself from ending up in the friendzone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
TLDR: guy gets rejected by a girl, wants consolation and hides it under what he hopes is a legitimate question: is "always be escalating" still true for shyer girls but just at a slower pace?"
