I'm also 20. If you want this girl to like you, be yourself. She already knows you a bit. Loosen up, take a bug deep breath, and relax.

If this is the girl you're focusing on tonight because you like her, I want you to do something for me. Go talk to 3 other random girls. Yeah, before you talk to the girl you're into, go talk to three other girls. "Hi I'm blabla and am making it my mission to learn the names of every cute girl here, what's your name?"

You don't have the intention of picking up these girls, since you're interested in the other one, so this should be fairly easy for you right? Just pretend you're hitting on them even though you don't want to take them home.

Who cares what those girls think about you anyways.

Now you're warmed up, maybe you even got one of those girls to like you enough that you have a backup, for if the girl you like doesn't work out.

Go talk to the girl you like, ask her how her night is... If she's into video games, ask her to take you on after this party is over. If she says no to going back to your place, maybe just see if she'll go on a walk with you. I'm sure you can take it from there.

If she says no to everything you try, at least you have 3 new friends to go talk to again so you don't have to be alone.

Go with the three girls tip. Its gold. You are talking to her. You are showing interest. What you dont wanna show is neediness..and you'll be fine. If You want specifics. And you don't..your just muddling yourself with this info...here you go. 1. Compliment her. Look away. Change topic. 2. Say something sweet. Neg her. Make her laugh. 3. Hold her hand when you move her. Not in a "please can I? Don't mind when I" kind of way but "I'm doing this cause I want to and I feel it's right" kind of way. 4. Look at other girls occasially. But make sure if she needs something she gets it. And for gods sake just kiss her. If she refuses. You'll have time to pursue other girls and interests.

Even though this had to be taken down, I'm going to answer it....

So there is this girl I have been crushing on for a while now.

Honestly, this right here is probably all I need to read. How long is "a while?" If it's longer than a few weeks to a month, then it's 99% likely that you've friend-zoned yourself.

Period.

The value in this experience for you is in using it to fuel your desire to change yourself into a person who does not have to wonder "what if," in regard to girls he has an interest in, because you'll be acting on your desire to find out if a girl is date-able or not.

This honestly isn't complicated. You just talk to her about whatever is going on at that moment and you listen to her. You don't need any tricks. Interacting with her in a way that involves paying attention to her without neediness, is how you would discover if there's mutual attraction. ("Building attraction" is a misnomer. There is no way to "build attraction." You can get in there and see if it exists and you can also squander it if it's there, but you can't create it, per se.)

In general she is kind of distant by nature

Meaning? She's antisocial? But she's in a club...... What's her role in the club? What's the club?
