So I'm trying out this "coffee meets bagel" app, I connect with some girl (you have to "like" each other to connect). We talk a bit (not all that much) and I ask for her number. I text her asking if she wants to get lunch, she suggests coffee instead. Ok, I suggest a place that is halfway between (well a bit closer to my place than hers, she is a bit far away).

Anyway, I wake up this morning thinking I should get ready and I look at my phone and see a text saying "Hey. I'm not going to be able to make it to coffee anymore so I'm going to have to cancel. Sorry about that!"

Yeah I know, I'm not suppose to care at all and be outcome independent. But I'm really getting tired of being rejected (been happening a lot recently), the fact is it does it sting. I'm pretty sure this is rejection because there is no "how about we do it later this week" or some other kind of follow up. I'm not ugly...so I assume I'm boring? How do you guys handle it? How do you guys respond to texts like that (if you even bother responding)? Note I'm 30 if that matters.

FYI, if you want I can post the bit of texting we did back and forth.
