Not in my experience. Men make better friends and are highly valued by women if they can keep them as just friends. Women aren't bad people but from what I have seen they don't put the same level of effort into a friendship as a man will on average. Some women have really gone the distance and proven themselves to be valuable friends(not to me but others have some stories), but most women just add bare minimum to a friendship.

Maybe it's possible but, in my limited experience, no. I'm a horny motherfucker and sometimes even fantasize about having sex with the ugly girls. I only have two girls in my life who I would consider my friends. One is an ex, and both have sucked my dick. They see me as an attractive sexual being. I wouldn't have it any other way.

In most situations, people end up hooking up because they are in the same ballpark in terms of SMV. When a guy gets friend zoned, his SMV is significantly lower than the girl who friend zoned him.

At the end of the day, human beings want to reproduce. You cannot reproduce with another man, so you can become legitimate friends without the reproductive instinct overriding everything else.

In 99 percent of situations, this is how it goes.

Man's SMV > Woman's SMV = man ignores woman, potentially uses her as an orbiter/for social proof, etc.

Man's SMV < Woman's SMV = Friendzone

Man's SMV = Woman's SMV = mutual attraction.

If you're not attracted to her, she's probably attracted to you. It's how this system just seems to play out. The only time that this doesn't happen is when there's something that causes the lower market value person to not view the higher market value person in any sort of sexual aspects.

Why would you want to be friends with a girl you do not find attractive? How would you go about and establish such a friendship?

Some of my best and most rewarding friendships are with women. Some of them are women with whom both of us recognize mutual physical attraction. It's never been an issue because we're all mature enough to know that getting tinglies when you look at someone doesn't mean anything.

I guess I'm biased, but saying that men and women can't be friends always seemed pathetic to me. Just because you get a boner when you look at someone doesn't mean you have to fuck them. Would it be ideal if we could do that? Absolutely, I would love to live a life of hedonistic whimsy - but it's not entirely realistic.

I am a married woman and have a male friend whom I've known since we were about 13. We went to school together and were both very successful in the dance world in our cities, sometimes performing together. He is probably the most genuine, consistent friend I have left from school. We get together a few times a year, my hubby and I maybe have dinner with his parents and family, we'll go Christmas shopping, talk about our careers, etc. He's not in a relationship and I don't believe he is gay.

I have seriously culled my interaction with lady folk to those I am pursuing, or those I had/have sexual relations with. They weren't a serious drain on my time, but with a drive to make better use of it, I now have more of it to do so.

The few that remain, that don't fall into the above, have at least proven that they want to be my friend, no matter how vocal I am about my displeasure with their gender at large, should it ever come up. They don't mind when I challenge their opinions, or point out their mistakes.

I've been able to motivate them to think differently, and do things they might not do otherwise to better themselves or get what they want out of life. That said, they don't usually show up empty handed, nor do they expect anything for free.

So, for that, I'll say yes.

Ultimately, it's a sacrifice that they do not understand, and 1 out of 2 has been told as much.

Truthfully, they're like little automations that need repair from time to time.
