Preface: First post, mostly just read on reddit. Anyways, this was my first - entirely sober - f-close, during the day, on a cold approach (not counting girls in class n such in high school) ie totally random chick. Which, let me tell you, was awesome. I had the added benefit of f-closing another girl while drinking/partying the night after this and there was no comparison between the two: game sober.

Story: I take a two week trip to Hawaii every year with my family. Usually there are relatively few kids my age (24) so I just post with the family. This vacation, we stayed at a hotel situated on a cliff which you could jump off. Loving jumping off shit, I naturally chilled on the cliff the entire trip. Bring one of the most talented people jumping probably gave me a confidence boost, so if you can, game while doing something you love.

After about a week and a half into the trip, I spy this gorgeous girl in one of those tiny bikinis climbing up the rock and know I have to talk to her. Me: so are you going to impress me with a backflip? Her: Maybe in a little, are you going to impress me? Me: I don't know, I'm pretty scared to jump, it's s big cliff. We bullshit back and forth, and I convince her to go first. I go up to the edge, act like a kook, and throw a perfect gainer. When I get back on the cliff she comes up and playfully smacks me "oh you're sure scared huh?" At this point; I figured I was in. I finally get to her try a backflip, and I do it with her. She gets her brother to go pro us doing it together. I tell her there's a much bigger cliff behind the hotel, and she wants to go see it. We swim in, and walk through the hotel to the backside. At the top she's hesitant (it's pretty big, ~55ft) and I look her in her eyes, tell her " you have a gorgeous smile" and jump. She's jumps, we bullshit some more on the swim back, and I ultimately take her to this secluded hot tub up above the first cliff we jumped off. We're sitting in this hot tub, it's around sunset, and we have the dopest view of another island. I look over, turn her head, and kiss her. She said," woah, I didn't think this was going to happen" and the rest is history. I had some of the most intimate sex I've had, with a gorgeous chick I just met, in a hot tub, on a cliff, at sunset with a view of the pacific. It was epic. And somehow, the hot tub sex didn't suck as it usually did.

Also had the added benefit of getting props from all the boys on the cliff the next day.

Moral: Pick up girls when you're doing shit you love. The added confidence of being truly gifted ago something helps 10-fold. I've always been fairly good with girls, I think it's my looks as I'm usually somewhat quiet. However, this time I wasn't and it payed off immensely.

Step out of your comfort zone, and do it sober. You'll thank yourself later.
