I'm relatively new to this sub so sorry if I'm being too specific/not specific enough, I suppose I should mention that I'm 16. I met a girl from my school during a school trip (didn't know her previously), at first we just accidentally bumped into each-other, which led to a conversation, which led to us spending the rest of the afternoon together and occasionally another girl also was with us. For the rest of the trip we sat next to each-other, walked together, etc, but I didn't try to take it any further (I'm not the most confident of guys, and I have a massive fear of being rejected, however unjustified it may be). I also remember her telling me whilst we were walking how she was going to miss me when school started as we never see each-other at school, and probably weren't going to. I got her number pretty easily. Trip ended. We still talked quite often (texting everyday/ every two days), but again, I didn't ask her out. I did ask her to meet up once, we were talking about my exchange student and she said she really wanted to meet him, so I told her that I was going to a dinner in town with other people doing the exchange and that if she wanted to come with she could, she replied with "Oh yes please!","Please can I actually come??". She did come but I was having bad day, therefore I was in a bad mood, and it didn't go as well as I thought it would, sure we talked, but there wasn't the same connection we had on the trip. Soon after the dinner ended she texted me "Are you ok?" I suppose she could tell I wasn't doing great, I replied that I was fine. From then on we started talking slightly less, though we still did talk. Now here I am, she just went on another school trip where she didn't have internet so we haven't talked in 2 weeks, her trip ends tomorrow. I have a feeling that I may have missed my chance, but I know I like her, so I suppose my question is: how easily will a girl forget a guy if she is given then idea the guy doesn't like her? And is it likely that if I ask her out now she'll say yes? Anything helpful on what to do now would be amazing.

Also summer holidays just started to we won't be seeing each-other for about two months, so right now texting is my only option. So Reddit, how do I go about this? I want to ask her out but I don't want to just bluntly ask, and I'm also not sure if I should ask her out now to set a date in two months' time xD. So if I should wait until school starts again, what do I do until then?
