Got her on facebook and added her phone number when I was in a group chat with her some time ago.

Just don't. Starting the conversation with her trying to establish who you even are, is opening from the weakest possible position.

If you have a friend in common I'd seriously consider asking your friend to somehow arrange for you both to meet in real life and then hit on her in person. Either as part of a night out of a wider group, or even just ask your friend to set you up on a date and then see how it goes.

Plus you appear to be quite heavily invested in this one person. Fear of fucking it up is going to fuck it up for you.

I agree with Morokweng. If there is one thing I have learned and trusted from this subreddit, it is not to game over text especially not for a opening. It will stale quickly and it is also very easy to friend zone yourself by text. You are always available and thus your relationship is in no way valuable (because it is not any type of rarity.)

Even if she knows you have her phone number, it will probably come off way too desperate if you just text her out of the blue. Do you have friends in common? Any way you can hangout with a group that she is in?

I disagree with Morokweng. If you like this girl give it a try. You never see her anymore so if she doesn't reciprocate it's no big deal to just delete her from your FB and then just pretend it never happened.

If I were you just call her instead of texting her. It's more formal than a text. Try bringing something up from a previous conversation and use it to make common ground. If she liked X movie then there is something similar coming out you should see together. If she likes a certain theme park, beach, gym then ask to go together, etc.

Worst-case scenario she's not interested and you move on.

Hey..here is what you can do..i usually do it in situations like this and it works 100% . First u send her a msg ...eg. like u are sending someone a passcode..and u mistakenly sent it to her...once she sees the message she may respond as a wrong message...and that will be the opener to introduce urself..after @apologizing for the wrong message...if she doesn't reply..jus send another message asking her not use the passcode or something like dat..she will definitely respond...woman like mystery..so use it your advantage..
