Hi ,first time poster in Seddit

I just discovered this reddit a few weeks ago and have been looking through a lot of text posts and I have been taking advice and it's been working on my confidence, approach techniques, and banter.

Last night I went out to a bar with my friend and we were going to wingman for each other. For the most part it went really well and I approached more girls than I normally would which is a huge improvement for me.

But where I got caught up and flustered was when my friend would just, out of nowhere, pull me in front of a girl and say "talk to her" and then take a step back. I know his intentions were good but it was just so awkward for me to start a conversation after that. This type of situation has happened before with other friends and I just can't seem to start or maintain a fluid conversation. I know this going to happen again at some point.

So, can any one give some tips for overcoming my feelings of awkwardness in these types of situations?
