Ask a third party that isn't us. Give examples and don't bias your stories. Look at it from her perspective.

It could be that, or it could be the way you're asserting yourself is not very tactful. There is a wide gulf between saying, "I promised I would do this thing with my friend" versus, "Fuck you, I'll do what I want."

It could be a shit test / immaturity on one of your parts, or it could be genuine disagreements, or it could be pure miscommunication. It's very hard to say without knowing your relationship dynamics.

However, the one thing that is for sure is that some people have trouble accepting change in others and become defensive, while others are very supportive and actively will encourage good change. If she's ragging on you for all the things you're trying to change then it could be that she liked being able to walk all over you. If she supports some of the changes and bristles at others then I'd definitely be more inclined to say you're not communicating well with her.
