its a sort of abstract question; it all depends on the exact situation. sometimes this person might really rely on you so much you actually feel you need to be there for them. Sometimes you feel friendship is worth it. I wouldnt do it just because I have no game. you really need to be sincere about it if you agree to be a friend. Doing it because you have ulterior motive is probably only going to make you worse in the long run.

You have to pretty aware of what is going on in the first place to even try this and if you are doing ths out of desperation, well...

If you want to be friends then by all means be friends, but stop thinking of trying to fuck her, it'll fuck with you head and you'll develop more feelings. I have a really good friend who's a girl I keep her around because she's hot as fuck and it's nice going out with a girl who's really good looking to venues. I keep it cool with her and never try bullshit cause I actually just think of her as a friend from the beginning I never felt like I wanted to date her or some shit like that. Being friend zoned is awesome if you aren't madly in love with her. I have a friend that I'd totally bang, she's a babe, but I'd never date her. We get to do this weird flirty routine and don't have to worry about commitment or fucking things up. Also you get to be that overprotective friend when creepy guys hit on her (which I enjoy, I like intimidating people).
