Asmodeuswins is right. Women like the guys that don't need them. If you are active, focused on improving yourself, and generally ignore the girls around you, you're going to find they are going to be more interested in you. I definitely recommend that you get involved in something athletic. I recommend that you take a weights class and learn how to lift properly and safely. But mostly, I recommend that you improve you. Don't worry about impressing girls. Impress yourself, become somebody that you can be proud of. That is what's going to impress the girls.

The number one attribute that women find attractive is confidence. The more that you improve your body by lifting weights, cutting out junk food and eating right, and otherwise working to make yourself the best physical specimen that your genetic line will allow, the more confident you are going to be. The more you realize that you don't need to have this girl give you her phone number, the more you are going to step into what we call the abundance mentality. I don't know what school you go to, but if 50 percent of the student body is female, that is a lot of girls that you can be talking to so there is no need to get hung up on any one particular girl. And the more you improve yourself and get comfortable talking to a bunch of them, the more likely you are to find that one who's going to ring your bell. But remember that even she is one very small fish in one very large ocean.

A lot of guys look back at high school and say, "If only I knew then what I know now!" Well, it's taken me a lifetime to realize that it's about just having the nerve to walk up to a group of girls and confidently say, "Hi. I hope you ladies are having a good day. What are we talking about?"

Inevitably, by the way, one of them will say, "Not you!" because she thinks she's cleverer than she is. To which you reply, "You're not? Damn. I guess you haven't heard yet." Then change the subject. To anything that interests you. Are you trying out for the play? Talk about that. Joining the wrestling team this year? Talk about that. Robotics club? Talk about that. Let them see your passion and your energy.

TL;DR: Improve you. Make you the best you there ever could be. That'll give you the confidence to speak with girls without getting tongue tied
