One way, if you're in a crowded environment trying to go somewhere, is to grab her hand and lead her through the crowd. It will reinforce that take charge attitude.

Just be at a level of high energy the whole time, cheer with her, be friendly to others, and basically just have fun try to make the best of it. You're already sort of negative about the idea so make it the best it can be, it sounds like it'll actually be fun.

If you haven't been to a few of these types of parties, then it might be hard to do it well the first time.

But, just make sure you are in a good mood with good energy. These things tend to be very high energy so if you don't think you can match them, then it might be hard to pull it off (unless she is really into you).

I would do it just for the experience.

Just be aware, you will run into tons of other guys (possibly a few that are loud/frat types), and if she is attractive, she will probably get a good amount of attention.
