For reference, my rule of thumb, probably similar to many of you, is as follows: meet her, get her number, text immediately or within 24 hours saying 'hey, nice to meet you I had fun', and then suggesting a date(comedy club, low key music performance at a restaurant that facilitates kino, etc) within the next day or two. If she accepts, cool, if not, move on, if she doesn't suggest a reschedule then flip a coin if I want to try again later.

My question is about the times when she suggests a reschedule, say turns down a Tuesday afternoon date but suggests Thursday, which I can't do because of work or prior commitments(if I can make her suggestion work I'm not one to play games with that).

Convention suggests her making a suggestion means she's interested, so you've got something going for you, and sometimes shit legitimately does come up. What do you guys do to keep attractiveness up in the meantime when you can't meet up for, say, a week or more? In my experience waiting more than a week brings few second dates.
