In high school usually who asks pays. At my school, girls asked for winter formal and thus paid. Homecoming, men asked and paid. It depends on the culture of your school.

Just realized you're going as friends. She should pay for her own ticket. Also, you should each get an actual date.

Considering that you were the one who asked her to homecoming, I would say that it would be reasonable that you cover the cost of the ticket.

Paying for things set a bad precedent and to be honest most girls are more than happy to pay their own way in my experience, once in a while you run into a princess but that's beside the point.

However you need to have balls, you may risk losing her if you don't pay, but if you lose her over this she never cared to much about you.
