I guess it depends on whether or not you love her? If you do, say: "I love you too." If not, consider lying. Rest assured she would do the same for you.

"I know" or "how could you not" will work in either case.

This is a difficult one in my book, and I'm actually very interested to see answers. I'll tell you this for sure. You're going to need to context in these situations. Are you at a bar with friends and she says it in a joking manner with a tinge of seriousness? Are you watching a movie together? Is it right after sex? How long has the relationship been going. Has she asked the question before?

The reason for all this context is because women have a huge hang-up on the word as it makes them very vulnerable. That being said, I will sit back and let some people who have battled this test more than myself.

This happened to me with a girl I'd been seeing for about 6 months. I never told her the same thing back, thought it wasn't fair to lie to her, but she never made a big deal of it. She only ever told me by text message as well which I found strange. Somehow the relationship carried on for a few months after that despite the fact that it was very one sided.

All my friends thought that a) three was something wrong with me for not loving her back after so long b) that I should lie about it for an easy life.

I think strangely the more I implied I wasn't that into her the more she wanted me. Not saying that I loved her back gave me all the power in the relationship effectively.
