I would say go for it, and smoothly tell work in the conversation that your friend is not single anymore.

If she plays games or talks about your friend too much, next her.

Been in the same situation where I already made out with a girl at a club and she tried to make me jealous with that she matched with my friend on tinder and thought he was hot (and told me he looked like me but better). I told her 'lets have a threesome' then.. and cocky shit like that.

But she continued to talk about him and it pissed me off so I just soft-nexted her, feel better now. (soft next = don't say anything unless she initiates the conversation) and if its about my friend again I won't respond or hard next her (delete her number and facebook).

Do not sneak in the fact that he is engaged. Either do it plainly or don't. Your friend being engaged isn't going to kill the attraction, just put him off-limits. I believe the best thing to do is tell her everything about your friend, this should make him less interesting (no mystery) so she can focus her attention on more mysterious guy who hopefully happens to be you.

I don't think you will succeed, lots of rookie mistakes here.

Don't get scared because of her stating she likes your friend. It doesn't even make a difference that he is engaged, even if he weren't, it would not. if you know how women think and act, you know that they always find a particular type of guy attractive, but then there comes around a guy that pushes her buttons, and she is suddenly only interested in him. The key is most of the times: action. Your friend won't approach her, and she will probably not, because naturally people, women especially, are too scared of rejection. If you are proactive, you have more chances than any other guy that is just waiting.

So just go for it, don't care about what she said about your friend, and do your game. If you do it well, you will get her.
